Learning Design and Delivery

Leveraging adult learning and principles, I have designed and implemented programs that not only engage participants but also ensure skill acquisition and knowledge retention.
Whether facilitating workshops for senior leaders or creating dynamic digital content, I am always looking at how to make learning relevant, engaging, and future focused, I pride myself on being adaptive and flexible in my approach. I am comfortable in the digital world but always embrace an opportunity to work a room.

I understand what makes people (and their workplaces) tick

  • Learning Design

As an experienced educator with a deep understanding of contemporary best practices in adult learning, I advocate for experiential learning pathways and a human-cantered approach.

My method focuses on THINK, FEEL, and DO objectives that can be practically applied in the flow of work, ensuring learners acquire knowledge and develop the skills and attitudes necessary for real-world application.

I have a proven track record of advising businesses on learning solutions tailored to their current and future goals. My expertise includes:

    • Developing and implementing learning and capability frameworks

    • Conducting data-driven gap analysis

    • Designing blended learning solutions

    • Curating and creating content

    • Custom-building workshops and experiential activities

    • Structuring learning architecture and tech stacks

    • Conducting post-learning evaluations to drive continuous improvement

    • Creating train-the-trainer materials and assessments

  • Delivery and Facilitation

My facilitation style is all about making participants feel safe, involved, and connected to the bigger picture.

A great session looks like one where there is an equal balance of talking and listening, which creates a collaborative space where the content can meet the day-to-day realities of the learners. I like to conclude each session with a clear call to action and a reflection on key takeaways and how they might be applied.

When facilitating virtually, I aim to be deliberate in creating an engaging atmosphere. I like to test and try what works best for each cohort and am confident using breakout rooms, polls, GIFs, annotations, whiteboards, and comments to create more opportunities for active participation.

Virtual sessions are great practical case studies for participants to gain hands-on experience and skills in managing and leading in the ever-evolving hybrid landscape. I love it when participants let me know that they have successfully tried one of my engagement tricks to their own online team meeting repertoire!

I love an opportunity to facilitate an off-site or team-building session. I have been part of some great case studies of highly experiential activities that challenge, engage, and gearshift behaviours and relationships. And yes! I am definitely open to the idea of dusting off the apron for some leadership themed cooking classes!
